Advantages of Ertek's Technology
The fundamental value of Ertek's technology is the ability to mass-produce extremely low-cost, yet high performing RFID antennas and electrical connections.

Antenna Advantages
Ertek's technology is based on the use of inexpensive, commodity raw materials as well as a simple and fully additive manufacturing process. This combination allows antennas to be manufactured at a cost close to an order of magnitude less than equivalent etched copper antennas. Antenna costs will vary with size. However, completed antennas (including the substrate) produced using Ertek's technology will typically cost $.001-$.002 per square inch of tag surface area.

Ertek's antennas possess a highly conductive, pure metal surface. Independent testing by two major RFID tag/inlet suppliers has confirmed that Ertek's antennas perform as well as standard etched copper antennas.

Microchip Advantages
The simplicity of Ertek's connection process allows the microchip to be connected to the antenna at a cost substantially less than $.01 per tag. The connection will also be highly conductive due to the metallic connection between the microchip lead and the antenna. The chip or strap is attached to the substrate using flexible non-conductive adhesives resulting in a robust long-term connection. Finally, since the connection is made at relatively low temperatures, a variety of inexpensive or unique substrates can be employed.
